Considering an ADU?  Things to Think About…

I am really excited about “accessory dwelling units,” or ADUs.  These are in-law suites, a converted barn on your property… a way to create a separate living space for someone else, usually (but not always!) a family member.
 
I’ve written previously on the basic outlines of the new ADU law.  And I’ve written about all the estate planning factors to consider when making this significant financial investment.
