I began my legal career 28 years ago, earning my bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. After working as a paralegal for five years, I enrolled in law school. I earned my J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2002 and became an associate attorney at a small, well-respected law firm in Chelmsford, where I became a family law attorney. After eight years, I relocated back to the South Shore and worked part-time at various law firms while raising my small children. In 2019, I returned to the legal profession full-time at a large, highly regarded firm in Taunton, where my practice focused on family law. As a senior associate, I also worked with clients on estate planning and led the firm’s development of an estate planning practice. I have argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and have appeared before various probate and family courts throughout the Commonwealth.
After 19 years as a family law attorney, I concluded that at this point in my career I prefer the collaborative nature of estate planning to the often-adversarial aspects of family law, and am excited to make this shift. I look forward to working with Alexis and the other members of our team in getting to know our clients and working closely with them to develop customized plans that meet their needs. My background in family law litigation gives me unique insight into potential problems and how to design plans that ensure my clients’ goals are achieved and their wishes carried out. I also look forward to helping our clients obtain the long-term care they may need while preserving as much of their life savings as possible.
Giving back to the community is very important to me and I have volunteered with several nonprofits, including the American Cancer Society. When not practicing law or volunteering, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and relaxing on Duxbury Beach.
