Like elder law, special needs planning incorporates several different areas of the law. Our approach to special needs planning is similar as well—holistic, involving a thorough exploration of our clients’ particular legal, financial, medical, social, and family issues. We assist special needs persons and their families with issues such as housing, health care, public benefits, and estate planning. Our primary goal is to achieve the highest quality of life for the disabled individual. This includes ensuring that assets gifted or left to a special needs individual to enhance her quality of life will allow her to remain eligible for necessary public benefits—and continue to receive them without interruption.
In addition to helping your loved one with special needs receive all the public benefits she is entitled to while you are alive and after you are gone, we offer all of the following services and more:
- Guardianship & Conservatorship Proceedings
- Detailed care instructions for potential guardians
- Matching you with suitable Disability Advocates and Special Education Advocates
- Naming parents or others as guardians and conservators for children soon turning 18
- Special Needs Trusts
- Trust Administration
We invite you to contact us to schedule a planning session to discuss your specific needs and goals.
