Please meet our new associate, Attorney Suzanne Bunszel! We are so happy to have her as a new member of our team.
Suzanne began her legal career 28 years ago, earning a bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. After working as a paralegal for five years, she enrolled in law school. Suzanne earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2002 and became an associate attorney at a small, well-respected law firm in Chelmsford, where she became a family law attorney. After eight years, she relocated back to the South Shore and worked part-time at various law firms while raising her small children. In 2019, Suzanne returned to the legal profession full-time at a large, highly regarded firm in Taunton, where her practice focused on family law. As a senior associate, she also worked with clients on estate planning and led the firm’s development of an estate planning practice. Suzanne argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and appeared before various probate and family courts throughout the Commonwealth. After 19 years as a family law attorney, she concluded that at this point in her career she’d prefer the collaborative nature of estate planning to the often-adversarial aspects of family law. We are excited she made this shift.
Suzanne’s background in family law litigation gives her a unique insight into potential problems and how to design plans that ensure clients’ goals are achieved and their wishes carried out. She also looks forward to helping our clients obtain the long-term care they may need while preserving as much of their life savings as possible.
Giving back to the community is very important to Suzanne and she has volunteered with several nonprofits, including the American Cancer Society. When not practicing law or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and relaxing on Duxbury Beach.
